An auction house says former Colorado and Bears running back Rashaan Salaam's Heisman ring has sold for $8,140, plus a 20 percent buyer's premium.
Nate D. Saunders Auctions says bidding reached $10,835 before the auction closed Tuesday evening but didn't reach the $15,000 reserve. Nate Saunders says the company then backtracked to find a buyer. The ring has several diamonds but was missing one.
