Happy 50th Birthday to DAAARRYL, DAAARRYL aka Straw aka Darryl Strawberry
Despite his achievements in professional sport, Strawberry is most widely recognized in Europe for his role in the classic The Simpsons episode, "Homer at the Bat", in which Bart Simpson and Lisa Simpson taunt Strawberry with his signature mocking chant of "Daaarryyl, Daaarryyl, Daaarryyl!" Happy 41st Birthday to Chef Tyler Florence
Florence hosted Food 911 and How to Boil Water, and currently hosts Tyler's Ultimate on the Food Network.Florence at one time considered opening a restaurant in New York City. In 2008 he developed a plan to open Bar Florence, in the Hotel Vertigo in San Francisco, California. In 2009 he opened a small chain of luxury kitchen supply stores in Northern California and developed three new restaurant concepts for the area: Wayfare Tavern in downtown San Francisco (formerly, Rubicon restaurant); Rotisserie & Wine, a fast food restaurant in downtown Napa, California; and with Sammy Hagar, El Paseo in downtown Mill Valley, California, an American tavern featuring ingredients only from Marin County.
Happy 50th Birthday to Herschel Walker, the man that built the Cowboys.
Cowboys traded Walker to the Minnesota Vikings for a total of five players (LB Jesse Solomon, DB Issiac Holt, RB Darrin Nelson, LB David Howard, DE Alex Stewart) and six draft picks (which led to Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Kevin Smith, and Darren Woodson). Happy National Pig Day
National Pig Day is an event held annually on March 1 in the United States to celebrate the pig. The holiday celebration was started in 1972 by sisters Ellen Stanley, a teacher inLubbock, Texas, and Mary Lynne Rave of Beaufort, North Carolina. According to Rave the purpose of National Pig Day is "to accord the pig its rightful, though generally unrecognized, place as one of man's most intellectual and domesticated animals." The holiday is most often celebrated in the Midwest.
