Graham Elliot was all set to open his third restaurant next year, and it was going to be a hamburger joint called — what else? — Grahamburger. This, he said, was even though his fellow "MasterChef" judge Joe Bastianich told him, “It’s (expletive) stupid. There are too many burger places anyway.”As it turned out, a larger restaurant space became available on West Randolph Street, so, Elliot said, he shifted gears. The new restaurant, targeted to open next spring, now probably will be called GEB (for Graham Elliot Bistro), and the idea is simplicity."The food is based on three key elements, completely stripped down to its primary components and nothing more,” Elliot said, noting that entrees will be priced around $20 and will include a few items from the original Graham Elliot menu, among them the beef stroganoff, split pea soup and Buffalo chicken. Said Bastianich: "Good. He’s coming to his senses. Enough (expletive) burger restaurants."
